Mountain Biking Advocacy in Sedona, Arizona
At Thunder Mountain Bikes, we don’t just talk about improving Sedona riding; we make it happen!
We’re supporters of both the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition (VVCC), which advocates for expanded local bike lanes and MTB projects including the Sedona Bike Skills Park, and the Red Rock Trail Fund, a nonprofit that has donated thousands of dollars and countless hours to town trail creation and maintenance.
We also sponsor regular trail-maintenance days, as well as contribute to the Sedona Trail Keepers, a consortium of local businesses that have donated over $370,000 to trail development and upkeep since the group’s 2017 inception. We collaborated with the Chamber of Commerce to pay for and install seven bike fix-it stations at popular trailheads around town (Hiline, Adobe Jack, Chuckwagon, etc.)
Oh, and the annual Sedona Mountain Bike Festival? We conceived and host that every year, too!
We are proud to partner with these fine local groups to help ensure Sedona's trails continue to provide epic adventures for everyone.

Wheels On The GroundThe trails don't take care of themselves, and we put in a tremendous effort each year to help assist the forest service in maintaining and building new trails. We also work hard to advocate cycling in general in the area. Our partner charity, Wheels On The Ground, a registered 501c3, invests your donations straight back into Sedona's cycling development. Here's a look at some past projects your donations have supported:
