I was genuinely impressed with Thunder Mountain’s service. I called on a Monday because I needed a part for a bike trip that Thursday and was concerned it wouldn’t arrive in time. They told me no problem, they’d ship it two-day at no extra charge...and they followed through.

What made it even more impressive was that I ordered other parts the same day from a major online bike retailer advertising “free 2-day shipping to Colorado.” Their checkout estimated delivery by Thursday, but those parts didn’t arrive until the following Monday. Thunder Mountain’s order was the only one that actually made it before my trip.

For a smaller shop to outperform a huge online retailer on both personal service and delivery says a lot. They earned a repeat customer. I’ll absolutely be buying from them again.

New XT Mechanical Shifter is so much more ergonomic and crisp. After using XTR for 4 years, this shifter is very much a nicer redesign..
