It now has a new re-design, making it even easier to use, and includes even more hikes: 25 brand new trails and loops of Sedona’s Western Gateway.
The book features hiking expert Dennis Andres’ HikeHood Hiking Approach™. It teaches a different approach to hiking, encouraging hikers to choose hiking HikeHoods™ over going to crowded areas or choosing random hikes. It has achieved several goals no other hiking book on Sedona to date has, it lists all the official hikes, all the loop hikes, provides a system to organize them so that they can be accessible and not overwhelming, and includes over 200 color photos to boot.
Sedona’s Red Rock Country, is a 160,000 acre National Forest with an abundance of trails. . Some of these trails are easily accessible many are not. Trails also vary in length and challenge level. There are trails for all levels of ability, incredible views, fun and adventure to be had if you know where to go and how to get there safely.
300 miles + of trails are organized among Sedona’s 16 natural HikeHoods (hiking neighborhoods) including Western Gateway. Each HikeHood chapter provides detailed descriptions of every official route.
Each HikeHood features a trail menu, map, parking areas, driving directions, and more. Hiking this way you get to know an area well, not get lost, and have more options to hike within the same area or hike to a nearby HikeHood. The more you hike, the more you get to know an area, and the more options you have for how to connect your trails, it keeps it fresh and exciting, and safe.
This book is the tool to own for Sedona hiking enthusiasts of all levels of ability. Reading this book inspires the reader to make hiking part of their lifestyle and guides them in doing so safely.
