The M8100 chain provides enhanced chain retention thanks to an extended portion of the inner plate. The new chain features quick-link assembly and SIL-TEC treatment for extended offroad durability.
**The 126 link chain is discontinued. The 138 link chain is new for 2023.

Thunder Mountain has come through once again. They had the items I needed instock and shipped to my doorstep. 2-day delivery and perfectly packaged.
Great chain makes a difference good interface between chain and XT cassette. The reason the Tittle is GENUINE XT cn-m8100 is because I've gotten a counterfeit from another supply in the past and the minute I popped a pin out of this chain to shorten it to the desired length I could tell it was the real deal. Very smooth-running chain!
Really can't say enough about XT. I decided to swap all of my bikes from SRAM to XT, and the shifting is totally silent and immediate. I did have to warranty my first XT derailleur but all of the new ones have worked stellar. I guess we will see about longevity in time. But as far as set up, shifting quality and lack of noise, XT over SRAM in my opinion(and I mean all SRAM models). Make sure to measure the chain at Sag to get proper length and you'll be all set. The dealer manual on Shimanos website is fantastic, and it has a step by step of installing a full drivetrain. Highly recommend reading it. There are some quirky differences between XT and XTR and 1x vs 2x as far as set up.
