To say the X0 Eagle Transmission Crankset is the most advanced aluminum crankset that SRAM has ever produced is definitely not hyperbole. With its groundbreaking all-aluminum design and perfectly balanced stiffness-to-weight ratio, this crankset delivers the incredible performance that serious riders demand.
Available with a bash guard option and Power Meter ready, the X0 Eagle Transmission Crankset is the epitome of X0, sitting firmly atop the pinnacle of crankset advancement. Its striking appearance and unique design make it a standout component on any bike.
|Hub:||Boost (148mm), SuperBoost (157mm)|
SRAM Eagle Transmission features a SRAM MTB WIDE crank with a 55mm chain line while using the Boost 148mm Over-Locknut Dimension hub standard. Eagle Transmission cassettes move outboard by 2.5mm to optimize for this wider, 55mm chain line. For bikes with SuperBoost 157mm hubs, a 55mm chain line crank can be used. For bikes with a 142mm hub spacing, a 52mm link crank must be used.

SRAM Eagle Transmission is not compatible with previous-generation Eagle components. However, Eagle Transmission T-Type chainrings are backward compatible with Eagle chains, so they can be used on the current Eagle drivetrains. Non-T-Type Eagle chainrings will not work with Eagle Transmission chains.
So I wanted to try the new SRAM transmission on my new bike. I purchased the XO level cranks, cassette and chain. However, instead of purchasing the groupo, I wanted to go with the GX level derailleur because of how the battery is tucked out of the way. Since I was purchasing each piece separately, I went with the Ultimate pod controller over the standard. It was easy to set up and after one ride, I realized it wasn’t hype. This transmission really does shift better under load and it’s smooth and extremely quiet. Love the purchase and love the quick shipping by Thunder Mountain! 🤙🏼
