Continental's Kryptotal Front tire is the ultimate tire designed to help you push your limits on mixed terrain trails, enduro, and downhill gravity riding. Optimized for the front wheel, this all-around tire offers a perfect balance between the stability of grip, traction for braking, and rolling resistance.
The New Compounds
The Kryptotal Front Mountain Bike Tire comes in three different compound options to suit every riding style. The SuperSoft compound is Continental's softest and grippiest option, ideal for downhill and enduro riders who demand maximum grip and control. The Soft compound strikes a balance between grip and rolling resistance, making it a great choice for gravity-focused rides. The Endurance compound is designed to offer a high level of durability and good rolling resistance and grip, making it a versatile option for trail riders and e-bikes.
The New Casing
The Kryptotal Front Mountain Bike Tire also features a casing construction tailored to different riding styles. The Downhill option is the most durable and reinforced carcass in the gravity lineup, while the Enduro casing is a durable single-ply construction with Apex to prevent snakebites. The Trail option offers comparable performance to the Enduro casing but is tailored specifically for trail use cases.
Continental's new mountain bike tire lineup is Tubeless Ready, with a robust carcass construction that is impervious to damage and penetration from foreign objects. This technology allows for versatility, low weight, and an attractive design.
The Kryptotal Mountain Bike Tires are suitable for use with e-bikes, and Continental draws on over 100 years of experience with moped and motorcycle tires to ensure their city and trekking tires are rated to a standard speed of at least 25 km/h.
Take your rides to the next level with a Kryptotal Front, and pair it with a Kryptotal Rear-dedicated tire an unparalleled riding experience. Don't forget to pick up a dependable tire sealant for your tubeless setup.
Grip To Push Your Limits
I only have 2 rides on this tire, but I like it so far. I've ridden it in rocky, dry terrain. Downhill feel was very confidence inspiring. It never stepped out even when transitioning from rock faces into loose. The Enduro casing had nice small bump compliance, but strong enough to protect the rim. It's still early days with these tires, but they do seem like they will be a Maxxis alternative. I really like them so far.
Excellent tires frnt and rear versions. Compound Super Soft DH casing..... Grip / rolling speed / wear/ weight/ nearly impossible to puncture. Bonus you can run slightly lower PSI DH casing even more Grip and dampening.
I was incredibly impressed with the grip and tracking of these tires. I was telling everyone to buy them because they were fantastic... until the 3rd ride on them when the front tire ripped a side lug and punctured next to the lug and just above the bead (below the rim edge). I run tire inserts as well, so I'm not sure how the bead puncture happened. This was not on a section where this should have happened and in 4 years it's never happened on any other brand I've run. Bummer to happen on the 3rd ride especially after I told all my friends to buy them. I would say the trail casing is closer to EXO than EXO+.
Thunder mountain had the continental kryptotal tires I was looking for at a great price and they shipped the next day and I had them in no time. Well done!! These tires are amazing, I don’t miss my maxxis exo+ DHRII’s at all. I was not able to mount tires with my Cush core they fit tight. I don’t think I’ll need the Cush core with the kryptotals being DH casings. After a few rides ripping berms I can confirm these tires are sick, could not get them to squirm or fold.
This tire is amazing! I gorge DH Supersoft and the grip and control is offers is outstanding. Thunder mountain was very quick with shipping and sending confirmation update.
