I like the way they feel. Handle to pad bite point is perfect for me. Can really feel when they are grabbing and can modulate accurately. I race and need solid performance every time. They deliver it. And naturally when you get fancy new stuff you’re bike has to go and scratch things up (crash)
I have been on the quest for the perfect MTB brakes... xt/mt5/hayes a4/shigura/tpr dhr's... Also tested a ton of pads...
End result= trp dhr evo with the stock baby blue trp pads are the winners..
Regarding using Thunder Mountain bikes--- i have ordered 2 orders with them... Both have been great.. Fast shipping and my last order (the brakes) were shipped FEDEX... FEDEX-- FTW...
These brakes are the best ever. Sram modulation with shimano power. Absolutely love how these brakes feel on both my trail bike and my DH bike!
