E-Commerce, Shipping & Receiving Assistant Manager

Thunder Mountain Bikes in beautiful Sedona, Arizona, is looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) E-Commerce Assistant Manager to help oversee and grow our e-commerce operations as well as the shipping and receiving department.  The right candidate will be a self-starter with high attention to detail.   The E-Commerce Assistant Manager will work closely with the E-Commerce management team and will be asked to supervise the department throughout the year.  The right candidate will be a self-starter with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Help with day-to-day warehouse operations 
  • Pack and ship most E-Commerce orders
  • Process returns, exchanges & refunds
  • Customer service via phone, email, and chat
  • Accurately receive and stock warehouse products
  • Process in-store transfers

E-Commerce Assistant Requirements:

  • Two years of experience working in a bicycle retail environment
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Self-Starter
  • Proficient with Google Workspace
  • Experience with Lightspeed Retail and Shopify is a plus. We will train the right candidate.
  • Photo and video experience for online reviews is a plus, but not required.

Full-Time & Seasonal Mechanics:

We are looking to hire part-time or full-time mechanics. We are a locally owned and fast-paced bike shop, known for exceptional service and sharing the mountain bike stoke. If keeping bikes running is your passion, then this is the job for you!  

Required Skills:

  • Bike shop and Mechanic experience a must.
  • Be familiar with disc brake bleeds and suspension overhauls.
  • Technical knowledge of the newest bike components and trends.
  • Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, motivated self-starter.
  • Works well with others, open-minded.
  • Be able to work weekends.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Friendly and sociable – We are a world class riding destination that sees visitors from all over the world. You must like talking to people!
  • Love mountain bikes and sharing the stoke with others.

Competitive compensation based on experience, year-round work.

Seasonal Mechanic positions are available from September 15th to December 15th and Feb 1st until May 15th.  Competitive compensation based on experience.  $2 per hour bonus upon successful completion of a seasonal contract.  Limited Camper Van Parking can be provided.

 

Retail Sales:

We are looking for someone excited about riding, outgoing, and who cares about helping people make the most of their visit to ride Sedona.  Being a young and growing store expect to wear multiple hats that could include:

  • Sales for merchandise, new bikes, used bikes & rentals
  • Basic bicycle repairs
  • Cleaning
  • Merchandising
  • Giving trail advice

Candidates must:

  • Be friendly, outgoing, and sociable. We are a world-class riding destination that sees visitors from all over the world. You must like talking to people!
  • Love the outdoors and sharing the experience
  • Be comfortable with maps and trails
  • Be confident using a computer, email & Google Suite
  • Have direct sales experience
  • Basic bike riding and product knowledge would be a plus, but not necessarily required; we’d be happy to train the right person!

Shipping and Receiving Clerk:

Thunder Mountain Bikes in beautiful Sedona Arizona, is looking for a full-time Shipping & Receiving clerk to help receive and ship packages for our growing e-commerce operations. The right candidate will be a self-starter with high attention to detail. This is a full-time, year-round position. Weekend work is required.

E-Commerce Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day in-store E-Commerce operations
  • Pack and ship all E-Commerce orders
  • Process returns, exchanges & refunds

Receiving:

  • Responsible for receiving, back-stocking, and merchandising all incoming product

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with in-store / online inventory management
  • Assist with other in-store tasks as requested

E-Commerce Requirements:

  • Two years of experience working in a bicycle retail environment
  • Comfortable answering phones and responding to customer questions via email
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Self-starter.
  • Proficient with Google Suite
